Tiger Cubs Pre-School is a registered charity and is run by an elected committee. We are associated with All Saints Church, Lindfield and offer equal opportunities for all, welcoming children from any ethnic or religious background.
We are committed to child-centred learning and provide a safe, stimulating and caring environment where children can grow and develop as individuals.
We maintain a high ratio of adults to children, ensuring individual attention to the needs and development of each child. Our staff are caring, qualified and experienced and all hold relevant certificates in paediatric first aid and safeguarding. All our staff have an Enhanced DBS check.

We are Ofsted registered. We recently converted to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and as part of this process were required to re-register with Ofsted in July 2023. We were graded as 'good' at our most recent inspection for our old registration. This report is still available to view online. We have not yet been inspected for the new registration. We are a member of the Early Years Alliance which ensures that we are up to date with the current research and thinking within the early years sector.
There is a free car park to the rear of the Tiger Hall and we have an outdoor play area. We have a varied week of activities. Messy Mondays give us the opportunity to experiment with mess and Tasty Thursdays to try our hand at being little chefs. Trainer Tuesdays are important for developing fine and gross motor skills and include a PE session. We also make the most of the green spaces and woodland around us, particularly during our Welly Wednesday and Forest Friday sessions.

Mango, a long-haired Miniature Dachshund attends Tiger Cubs most days. The children love talking to Mango, reading to her and stroking her, and she loves the attention! She has her own secure area within the hall and she does not have free access within the setting. The children interact with her under adult supervision.
Our Setting
Here are some videos that we hope will give you a little insight into what Tiger Cubs looks like and to give you a feel for our setting. One video is of the inside of the setting and the other is of the outside area. Look out for Tiger who has been enjoying playing and exploring, both inside and outside! |
