Admissions
At Tiger Cubs, we are registered to take children from two years old. However, we place particular importance on children starting at Tiger Cubs when they are ready and confident to be part of a pre-school setting. This is different for every child as they are all individuals. Most of our children start when they are around two and a half years old, however, some join us nearer the age of two, and others nearer age three.
We recommend that children start with a minimum of two sessions a week to provide consistency and to support them in settling into the setting. There will be the opportunity to discuss increasing your child's sessions at the beginning of each term, subject to session availability, with the Manager.
Drop-off is at 9am and collection is either 12 noon (mornings only), 1pm (morning and lunch), 2.30pm (full day).
Fees
We are registered to receive the 2 year, 3 year and 30 hour Free Entitlement government funding. Government funding can be used for any of our sessions, including lunch, subject to availability. If your child is not yet eligible for funding, or attends hours in excess of their funding, an hourly fee will be charged. Fees are currently £8.00 per hour for 2 year olds, and £7.00 per hour for 3 and 4 year olds. Fees can be paid electronically, either monthly or half-termly. No refunds can be made due to sickness or holidays.
All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to up to 15 hours of free childcare a week for up to 38 weeks a year. We are open for 38 weeks a year and will claim government funded hours on behalf of your child. For the 2 year and extended 30 hour funding, parents are required to apply for the funding and to let the manager have the unique code issued.
The government Childcare Choices website provides further information about the funding available for your child:

If your child is going to be attending another setting in addition to Tiger Cubs, please inform us when registering your child as this impacts upon the funding we can claim for them. Furthermore, in accordance with our admissions policy, priority for spaces will be given to those who do not attend another setting.
At Tiger Cubs there are no additional costs. If your child is funded, then there is no charge - fees will only be due if your child attends extra hours on top of their funded hours.
